David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.

The author

Acclaimed writer for children and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.

An official for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions involving women.

The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

From Screen to Page

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
